This policy is to ensure every guest has a great experience with us, and to uphold our integrity on planning in detail for our diners.


Contact details and a small deposit are required to book a table
We have a unique dining model for New Zealand and our booking policy is a reflection of this. We plan in detail for your visit so we ask our guests to change or cancel their booking at least 48 hours in advance in writing.

Thanks for your support and understanding. Your table's deposit will be deducted from your bill.

Requests for changes
There are many things you can do to manage your own booking through your Tock dashboard. If need to make a change to your booking, please do so before 48 hours ahead of your reservation time so we can reschedule your booking. Changes within 48 hours will be handled according to our cancellation policy. 

Cancellations are to be in writing and must receive a response from us.
Cancellations can be via your Tock dashboard or to If you do not receive a cancellation email from Tock or hear back from us, please call as we may not have received your email.

We ask that guests cancel or amend their booking at least 48 hours in advance so that we can try to fill your seats and plan accordingly. If you cancel or ask to reschedule within 48 hours of your reserved time or you do not show, your deposit will be forfeited. This policy also applies if you reduce the number of diners in your booking and do not notify us in advance.

Upon booking your details are handled by a third-party secure site. Pasture will not have access to your details other than to refund you. This is not full prepayment for your meal, your deposit will be applied to your bill.

Dietary requests must be notified in advance or discussed prior to booking - we do not make dairy free or vegan menus.
We send a booking questionnaire so that all requests are saved to your booking.We can accommodate vegetarian and pescetarian diners. We can also amend menus for allergies such as nut free, gluten free, coeliac and shellfish free. We cannot accommodate dairy free or vegan requests, which require entirely new menus to be prepared. Please discuss all dietaries with us in advance so we can safely prepare your meal.

We cannot take group bookings
Our maximum table size is for six guests on a Thursday at 6pm.  We are a small restaurant and we are unable to accommodate group tables. As a larger group, please be aware that our entire team will focus on plating your menu, and we like to explain our dishes to you, so please come to experience Pasture with like-minded foodies where everyone is aware of the format for the evening.

Please arrive on time
We stagger booking times in order to ensure we are hosting every guest to the best of our ability. When guests arrive late or early, the speed of the kitchen and our service is impacted, which ultimately affects every diner in the restaurant. Please plan your journey to us with this in mind.


Selecting a restaurant area
Please note that our chefs pass is very popular and must be requested when booking. We offer these seats on a first-booked basis. It is only available for single diners or pairs, even if you are famous.

Dining with children
We serve one menu in a small open plan room. Children under 12 may not enjoy the Pasture experience. Please discuss any bookings with children with us in advance to ensure we are a suitable restaurant. This includes bringing infants.
